Good Numbers and Big Peacock Bass Showing Up in the Amazon

The Upper Itapará group had a better performance landing 514 peacock bass, with 12 above the 10 lbs. mark, implying that the Lower Itapará had a better relationship number/size. Last week’s fish count was 745 fish with 169 above the 10 lbs. mark.

Lower Itapará river Fly-in Floating cabins enjoyed fair weather and water levels a bi on the low side. Anglers landed 214 peacock bass with 29 above the 10lbs mark and the largest weighing 20lbs.. Last week’s group closed with a 997 fish count.

The upper Xeruini group also enjoyed fair weather this weekend, they started the week with an impressive 811 landed peacock bass mark the largest one weighing 16 lbs.. Water levels are getting a bit on the low side. Last week’s fish count was 1.142 with the biggest weighing 18 lbs.. The Upper Jufaris anglers fishing at this private fishery landed 122 peacocks with the largest one weighing 14lbs. Excellent weather conditions and perfect water levels. Last weeks fish count was 901 with a significant trophy of 22 lbs. to show.

Lower Xeruini private fishery anglers here opened the week with a 336 landed peacock bass score, 23 of them topped the 10lbs mark and the largest weighed 16lbs. Water levels are at average level. Last week´s fish count was 1.173 landed peacocks, the biggest weighing 19 lbs.

Weather conditions have been excellent in all our private fisheries throughout the weekend, weather forecast shows some significant rain as from next Friday until Sunday in the Carvoerio area,
